Your hometown can be the perfect backdrop for high school senior sessions| Lemont, Illinois
Every time I visit somewhere new, I automatically think “oh my how cool it would be to live here”. I have a touch of nomad tendency in my blood and get antsy when I am in one place for too long. But, the past couple of years behind the camera has opened up my eyes to find newness around the places I see near my home every day.
I see backdrops against old warehouses, a patch of trees with the perfect rays of sunshine on an empty lot, and coffee shops with the perfect light flowing through their windows. When you start to look around the place you live, you can begin to discover so much that it has to offer.
Lemont Highschool Senior Gunnar and I did just that during his session last year. We utilized great little spots around downtown Lemont. I have always loved the space under the bridge that leads people into our town. The view from the bridge is of our peaceful downtown and the hills laced with church steeples. Turn into the town and you will discover unique little shops, restaurants, and incredible history. This is where we chose to capture Gunnars images.
You never know what you can find around your hometown that will spark interest for your next photo session.
